All of our bread is naturally leavened with wild-caught sourdough starter. No commercial yeast or “sourdough flavour” is used.
In general, our bread is composed of three ingredients: flour, water, and salt, with added ingredients such as seeds, oils, produce, etc. We source organic, unmodified white (unbleached) flour from Meuniere Milanaise in Saint Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, and whole grains grown on small farms in Ontario and milled by K2 Milling in Bradford, Ontario.
Sourdough bread takes three days to completion. Due to this extended process, orders must be submitted at least one day before pickup. Day-of orders cannot be guaranteed to be filled. Please specify the quantity of loaves you’d like.
If you would like to order more than four loaves at a time, order with at least three days notice.
Daily Bread - June 2026
Tuesdays / Red Fife - 40% red fife flour and 60% winter wheat. Red fife has an inherently strong and spicy flavour that makes for a really aromatic loaf.
Wednesdays / Einkorn - 40% einkorn flour and 60% unmodified winter wheat flour. Einkorn flour is said to be the first type of grain, cultivated up to 10,000 years ago. It fell out of favour to the higher yielding modern wheat (ein-korn = one kernel), but is now being grown again on small farms in Ontario. Mildly nutty and sweet in flavour.
Thursdays / Oat Porridge Loaf - 20% spelt loaf mixed with oatmeal porridge for a hearty and soft bread.
Fridays / Everyseed - 20% spelt pan loaf loaded up with almost every seed that we stock in our pantry - flax, poppy, sesame, fennel, coriander…this super fragrant and hearty loaf pairs well with apricot jam, raw honey, almond butter, soft cheeses, and so much more.
Saturdays / Sandwich Loaf - this 100% organic winter wheat pan loaf is softened with butter and baked in a pan for the classic feel of your favourite white bread, but with all the benefits that come along with fermented sourdough bread and quality ingredients.
Every Day / Country Loaf - 10% red fife flour and 90% unmodified winter wheat flour. Creamy and light, this loaf is a great everyday bread or toast.
Weekend Bread Specials
June 5/6 : Cheddar and Jalapeño
100% winter wheat pan loaf loaded up with old cheddar and pickled jalapeños. Salty, spicy, funky, and rich all together, this makes an awesome base for tomato sandwiches, should you be so lucky to have some ripening nearby.
June 12/13 : Feta and Za’atar Focaccia
It’s finally picnic weather, and you need focaccia to celebrate! Bubbly flatbread cooked in olive oil, topped with feta and za’atar.
June 19/20 : Raisin and Coriander
10% spelt pan loaf with a buttery sweet swirl of golden raisins. See ya later, Sunmaid.
June 26/27 : Herby Swirl
20% red fife sourdough infused with fresh herbs (basil, parsley, chives) and layered with pureed garlic scapes for a savoury summer delight.
Baked Goods
All of our baked goods are prepared from scratch in house. We require one day’s notice for all of these items. Please order in quantities of 6 or 12; please specify the quantity that you’d like.
